Third anniversary of the launch of the Global Strategy to Eliminate Cervical Cancer

On November 17, 2023, we celebrated the third anniversary of the World Health Organisation's global movement to end cervical cancer, which was once again marked in Slovenia and around the world by illuminating landmarks in teal, the colour of cervical cancer. The illumination of landmarks is a demonstration of the unity of 194 countries in this historic and global commitment to eliminate cervical cancer. Given the outstanding results of the ZORA programme, Slovenia could become one of the first European countries to reach this goal.

In Slovenia, the activities on November 17 are coordinated by the Association of Slovenian Cancer Societies involving eleven regional societies and in cooperation with the ZORA programme.
